Privacy Policy

Last updated: [DATE]

DiscoverMe is built around a simple promise: what you write is yours. This page explains what we collect, what we deliberately don't, and the choices you have.

In short

What we collect

Usage analytics. We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how DiscoverMe is used — app opens, moments completed, which path a note was written in (never its content), paywall views, purchases, and basic device information such as device model, OS version, country, and language. This data is aggregated and isn't used to identify you personally.

Account data, if you choose to sign in. DiscoverMe works fully without an account. If you sign in — to keep your purchase and access across devices — we store your email address and a technical identifier. Nothing else.

Purchase records. Purchases are processed by Apple through your Apple ID. We only receive confirmation that a purchase happened — never your name, card number, or billing details.

What we deliberately don't collect

Where your data lives

Your notes and progress are stored locally on your device. If you delete the app without an account, this data is deleted with it. Analytics data is processed by Google Firebase — see Google's own privacy documentation for how they handle it.

Your rights and choices

You can delete your account at any time in Profile → Account → Delete account. This permanently removes your profile, email, notes, and account data from DiscoverMe. Purchases stay with your Apple ID and can be restored.

Reminders are optional and can be turned off at any time in Profile → Preferences.

Depending on where you live — including the EU/EEA, UK, California, and Canada — you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, use the contact details below.

Data retention

Account data is kept until you delete your account. Aggregated analytics data is retained for [RETENTION PERIOD].

Children

DiscoverMe is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the date above and, for significant changes, let you know inside the app.
